Stellies Lead H2H

Stellenbosch hold a 6-3 advantage over Golden Arrows across 15 previous meetings with six draws.

The last meeting ended in a 1-1 draw in the PSL in March 2026.

Arrows Unbeaten in 10

Arrows are on a run of eight straight clean sheets with just one victory in 15 fixtures. This season has seen three draws and two wins all competitions.

The new season began with a 0-0 home PSL draw vs Chippa United before beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the MTN8 quarter-finals. Arrows drew 0-0 at Durban City (being outshot 25-8) before a 0-0 draw at TS Galaxy.

Their last match brought a 1-0 win at Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-finals first leg. Arrows were outshot 22-5 and scored with their only shot on target.

Stellenbosch Struggling for Wins

Stellies have sold several key players in this transfer window, with lots of young players promoted from the reserve team. Their last nine league matches have yielded just two victories.

Last season ended with a 2-0 home win over Orbit College and a 0-0 draw at Marumo Gallants. They lost 1-0 to Golden Arrows to start this season after playing a home match in Durban due to field constraints.

A 2-1 lead was surrendered in a 3-3 draw away at Polokwane City. Their last match saw a 3-1 home win over Marumo Gallants as debutant Quwan Plaatjies netted a superb hat-trick.

Predicted Lineups & News

Golden Arrows (4-3-3): Maova; Shezi, Jiyane, Mabaso, Maluleke; Dlamini, Zwane, Maxwele; Gasa, Dion, Sithole.

Arrows were without captain Ayanda Jiyane in the last match. He could return in defence in place of Eroine Agnikoi.

Nhlanhla Gasa and Sabelo Sithole are set to play on the wings. Ronaldo Van Neel is a doubt in the winger areas.

Stellenbosch (3-4-3): Stephens; Taunyana, Nkwali, Vena, Lebitso, Mthethwa, Matlou, Mashego; Daniels, Kwayiba, Plaatjies.

Stellies could again start two youngsters in support of the main striker. Quwan Plaatjies will keep his place after a debut hat-trick, whilst Raoul Daniels assisted two goals from the right wing.

Centre back Given Msimango may have to wait for his debut after three youngsters excelled against Gallants. Veteran centre back Mosa Lebusa is out with a muscle injury.
