Serbia allowed 51 shots in their opening two UNL games and currently ride an awful four-game losing streak. I am backing Germany to score in both halves and dominate this match from start to finish.

Key Stats

  • Germany have won 11 of their last 15 matches.
  • Serbia have lost their last 4 matches.
  • Serbia have conceded in both halves in 3 of their last 4 matches.

Three Meetings so Far

These nations clashed three times since Serbia became independent country and the score is tied at 1-1.

Germany off to a Poor Start

Germany entered the new UEFA Nations League season with high expectations under Jurgen Klopp, but their results and performances have been quite poor so far.

Die Mannschaft were just a couple of minutes away from securing three points last Thursday in the opening match against the Netherlands, conceding in stoppage time in a 1-1 draw. Felis Nmecha was the scorer, while they ended this clash with 1.45-3.18 xG and 2-10 shots on target.

Germany were tagged massive favorites against Greece last weekend but shockingly lost 1-0 in front of the home crowd (had 1.26-0.77 xG and 76% possession). Kevin Schade and Younes Ebnoutalib missed big chances to score.

Paunovic Under Pressure

Serbia didn't collect a single point from their opening two UNL matches and allegedly coach Zeljko Paunovic offered his resignation which was refused by the Serbian FA.

The Eagles opened their match against Greece in best way possible, Dusan Tadic providing great assist for Andrija Zivkovic who broke the deadlock four minutes in but still lost the encounter 2-1 (conceded in stoppage time).

'They put in more effort and running in the follow up clash against heavy favorites Netherlands, but lost once again 2-1 in Belgrade, Luka Jovic finding the net this time.

Team News & Predicted Lineups

Germany (4-2-3-1) Noah Atubolu; Ridle Baku, Waldemar Anton, Malick Thiaw, David Raum; Vitaly Janelt, Aleksandar Pavlovic; Karim Adeyemi, Tom Bischof, Florian Wirtz; Jonathan Burkardt

Germany have to cope without Kai Havertz after the Arsenal striker withdrew from international duty due to an injury suffered against the Netherlands.

Serbia (4-2-3-1) Vanja Milinkovic-Savic; Aleksa Terzic, Strahinja Pavlovic, Srdjan Babic, Kosta Nedeljkovic; Sasa Lukic, Nemanja Gudelj; Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Stankovic, Andrija Zivkovic; Luka Jovic

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was reintroduced to the national team under Paunovic but failed to make any difference so far. Luka Jovic is expected to start this time after needing just one minute to score in the previous round after being substituted in.
