Man United have had no issues scoring goals at Old Trafford and Man City are finding their feet under Enzo Maresca. This one could go either way, so I am sitting on the fence and backing a draw.

Key Stats

  • Man United have won 10 of their last 11 home matches.
  • Man United are unbeaten in 3 of their last 4 home matches against Man City.
  • Man City have won their last 4 matches.

HTH

Man United have an 81-63 lead against Man City alongside 54 draws. City haven’t scored in their last two games at Old Trafford.

Goals Flowing at Old Trafford

Manchester United have been below their best on the road, starting with a 2-0 defeat at Hull where they had 72% possession and 21-8 shots. They conceded in the 96th minute to draw 2-2 at Everton.

The Red Devils have had no such issues at Old Trafford, scoring nine goals in two games. Bruno Fernandes hit a hat-trick in a dominant 5-2 victory over Ipswich.

Fernandes scored again as Michael Carrick’s side thrashed Sabah Baku in the Champions League. United had 10-0 shots on target and 3.55-0.83 xG.

Haaland on Fire

Manchester City suffered a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield but have bounced back with four straight wins.

Two late goals earned Enzo Maresca’s side a 2-1 victory against Bournemouth. Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki scored twice in a 4-1 win at Crystal Palace, Haaland scoring again in a 1-0 win against Coventry.

The Norwegian striker bagged another brace in a comfortable 2-0 win at Porto in the Champions League. The Citizens ended the contest with 64% possession and 20-5 shots, Haaland taking six of them.
