Sirius look unstoppable this season in Allsvenskan, claiming 32 out of possible 36 points. Elfsborg haven’t won a single match for over two months, so I don’t see them holding the current table leaders.

Key Stats

  • Elfsborg have lost their last 2 matches.
  • Elfsborg have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 matches.
  • Sirius have won 3 of their last 4 matches against Elfsborg.
  • Sirius have won 5 of their last 6 away matches.
  • Sirius have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Sirius’ Robbie Ure has scored 7 goals in his last 3 matches.

Hosts Edge H2H

This is going to be the 23rd time these two sides lock horns. Elfsborg have been slightly more successful 10-9, while 3 matches ended without a winner.

Elfsborg Winless Since Early May

Elfsborg have mixed results in the Allsvenskan 2026 season, accumulating 18 points in 13 matches and sit in 7th place.

Series of four consecutive scoring draws was recorded throughout May against Halmstad 1-1, Mjallby 1-1, Hacken 1-1 and Orgryte 2-2, while it ended in their first appearance this month with a 2-1 home loss to Hammarby.

Elfsborg posted 1.83 expected goals, had 59% possession and fired 17 shots last weekend on their trip to GAIS, but still lost this encounter 1-0.

Sirius Unchallenged in the Title Race

Even though not even half of the season is complete, Sirius are already labelled as huge favourites to win the Allsvenskan, sitting alone at the top of the table with 32 points after 12 rounds, nine points ahead of Hammarby.

Their results and performances on the road have been almost impeccable, recording five wins and one draw. They were victorious in their last three away games against Djurgarden (3-2), AIK Stockholm (3-0) and Brommapojkarna (2-1).

The only game Sirius haven’t won recently was a home clash against the reigning champions Mjallby in early July (4-4). They had a 2.25-1.81 xG advantage and a 21-19 edge in shots in that match, where Robbie Ure scored all four goals.

Team News

Per Frick is unavailable for the home side, recovering from an ankle injury. Midfielder Marcus Rohden is doubtful due to a muscle problem.

Joakim Persson (thigh injury), Noel Milleskog (shoulder injury) and August Ljungberg (hip injury) are unavailable for the visitors.
