Man City are not giving up on their title dream and I will back them to beat struggling Chelsea on Sunday.

Key Stats

  • Chelsea have lost 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Chelsea have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 matches against Man City.
  • Man City have won 4 of their last 5 matches against Chelsea.
  • Man City have won their last 2 matches.
  • Man City have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 away matches (EPL).

Chelsea Edge H2H

Chelsea have minimal 67-66 advantage over Man City in terms of h2h victories, 41 matches ending without a winner.

Blues Underperforming in the PL

Chelsea have been struggling in the Premier League recently, claiming just four points from their last five games and dropping down to 6th place, six points short of a UCL spot.

Just before the international break, the Blues were beaten 3-0 by Everton at Goodison Park, posting 0.93–1.17 expected goals while registering 4–9 shots on target.

Their Champions League Round of 16 tie against PSG also turned into a disaster, as they lost 8-2 on aggregate, leaving the FA Cup as their only realistic chance of silverware. Last weekend, Chelsea earned a commanding 7-0 win over Port Vale to advance to the semifinal.

City Need Points to Stay in Title Race

Manchester City were also victorious in recent FA Cup action, defeating Liverpool 4-0 at home to advance to the semifinal. Erling Haaland stole the spotlight netting hat-trick, Antoine Semenyo also on target.

Pep Guardiola’s side won another derby match in late March, beating Arsenal 2-0 to win the Carabao Cup, Nico O’Reilly scoring both goals in the second half.

In their most recent EPL contest, the Cityzens were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham in London despite having 2.03-0.54 xG, 72% and 24-1 shots.
