Adelaide United vs Macarthur FC Head To Head

Macarthur came away 2-1 winners in Campbelltown back in Round 2 before a 1-1 share of the spoils at Coopers in Round 15.

Adelaide United Draw Specialists

Adelaide come into this encounter with a 10-7-7 record on the season and in fourth spot on the ladder, equal on points with Sydney.

Overall, it's been a good season for the Reds, but if they'd just converted a couple of their draws into wins over the last month, they could be right in the minor premiership picture - or at the very least, battling for a top two finish.

Adelaide have earned 1-1 draws with both of the top two in Auckland and Newcastle over the last fortnight.

Airton Andrioli's side were unlucky not to secure all three points on the road against the Jets last week.

Ryan White put his side ahead in the 72nd minute and Adelaide also had the ball in the back of the net on two other occasions, only to be ruled out. Daniel Wilmering then equalised for the Jets in the 94th minute.

Macarthur FC Stumbling Badly

Macarthur head into this showdown with a 8-7-9 record on the season and in seventh spot on the ladder, trailing Melbourne City in sixth by four points with two games remaining.

A big mid-season collapse put Macarthur in a hole that looks too deep to climb out from - basically the Bulls need to win their remaining two games and hope City or Victory lose their last two in order to sneak into the finals.

Mile Sterjovski's side looked on course for a late-season resurgence after upstaging both the top two in Auckland and Newcastle.

However, Macarthur stumbled badly last week, suffering a 3-1 defeat to struggling Perth, effectively ending their season.
