The Stake Bad Beat Jackpot is a $1,000,000 poker promotion that rewards players when an exceptionally strong hand loses to an even stronger hand at showdown. Unlike standard poker bonuses, the Bad Beat Jackpot pays out not only to the losing player, but also to the winning player and everyone else dealt into the hand.

The Stake Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered when a qualifying “bad beat” occurs, meaning a player loses a hand with a very strong qualifying hand to an even stronger hand, under specific conditions.
When triggered:
- The jackpot is paid instantly
- Multiple players at the table receive a share
- Funds are credited directly to players’ wallets

What Hands Trigger the Bad Beat Jackpot?
To trigger the jackpot, the losing hand must meet the minimum qualifying threshold based on the game being played.
Minimum Qualifying Losing Hands
- Hold’em: Four-of-a-Kind (2222x or better)
- PLO4: Four-of-a-Kind (4444x or better)
- PLO5: Four-of-a-Kind (8888x or better)
- PLO6: Four-of-a-Kind (JJJJx or better)
The qualifying losing hand must lose to:
- A higher Four-of-a-Kind
- A Straight Flush
- A Royal Flush
Mandatory Conditions to Trigger the Jackpot
All of the following conditions must be met for the Stake Bad Beat Jackpot to be awarded:
- The hand must go to showdown
- Four or more players must be dealt into the hand
- Both the winner and the loser must use two hole cards to make their qualifying hand
- For Four-of-a-Kind hands, the hole cards must contain a pocket pair
- Players who are not dealt hole cards are not eligible
- Any player dealt into a jackpot-triggering hand must remain at the table until the hand is complete
- If the board is run multiple times, only the first board is eligible for jackpot qualification
Note: If a player leaves the table before the hand concludes, they forfeit their jackpot eligibility.
How Is the Bad Beat Jackpot Paid Out?
When a qualifying hand occurs, the jackpot is split between players at the table as follows:

- Bad Beat Winner (Losing Hand): 5.6%
- Bad Beat Opponent (Winning Hand): 3.5%
- Other Players Dealt In: 2.1% (split equally)
This means players can receive a jackpot payout even without winning or losing the hand, as long as they were dealt in and remained seated.
How Is the Jackpot Funded?
The Bad Beat Jackpot is funded through Ring Game rake:
- 3% of all Ring Game rake is allocated to the jackpot fund
- Hold’em and Omaha games share the same jackpot fund
- Each blind level has its own jackpot pool

- $2.50 / $5.00 → 56.69%
- $1.00 / $2.00 → 22.68%
- $0.50 / $1.00 → 11.34%
- $0.25 / $0.50 → 5.67%

- $0.05 / $0.10 → 1.13%
- $0.01 / $0.02 → 0.22%
Each stake level maintains a separate jackpot balance.
When and How Are Prizes Paid?
- Jackpot prizes are awarded immediately at the end of the hand
- Winnings are credited directly to players’ wallets
- Payouts are issued in SC or GC, depending on the table played
- Players can view jackpot wins in their transaction history
