XLG Esports vs Nongshim RedForce Betting Predictions
XLG Esports and Nongshim RedForce will clash on Thursday, October 1, in the Group D Elimination Match of VALORANT Champions 2026, in what should be a very one-sided game.
Nongshim RedForce did not start the tournament the way they had hoped. But in RedForce’s defence, they had to face a very strong opponent in NRG, so it is fair to expect a better showing from them on Thursday.
XLG Esports haven’t looked great before VALORANT Champions, and they’ve hardly improved the impression with a 0-2 loss to Karmine Corp. That wasn't too surprising, but it also proved XLG doesn't have what it takes to challenge tier-1 teams.
- XLG Esports do not look prepared
- Nongshim RedForce have a chance to bounce back
- This is RedForce’s game to lose

XLG Esports Are Not Ready
XLG Esports had a rough showing ahead of VALORANT Champions, placing fifth-sixth at VCT China Stage 2 and 13th-16th at the Esports World Cup. Given their poor form, XLG were not expected to shine in VALORANT Champions, and they’ve yet to prove anyone wrong.
In the first round of Group D, XLG faced Karmine Corp and lost badly, with 3-13 on Sunset and 6-13 on Abyss. That loss, while expected, also indicates XLG aren't prepared to face tier-1 teams, so things are unlikely to get any better for them on Thursday.

Nongshim RedForce Have a Chance to Bounce Back
Nongshim RedForce were billed as one of the strongest teams at VALORANT Champions, having shown strong form at the Esports World Cup and VCT Pacific Stage 2, finishing third and second, respectively.
Despite showing strong form in the months leading up to the world championship, Nongshim RedForce lost against NRG in the first round of Group D. They got stomped on Lotus with 5-13, and while RedForce showed more life on Split, a poor start to the map was too much for them to overcome and they had to admit defeat with 10-13.
It was not the start RedForce had hoped for. But one loss against a team like NRG proves very little, especially considering how solid Nongshim RedForce looked domestically and at the Esports World Cup.
