VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 2 Favourites & Odds

Paper Rex enter VCT Pacific Stage 2 expected to defend their Stage 1 title and build on the success they found at VALORANT Masters London, where PR placed second.

With a VCT Pacific Stage 1 title and Masters London silver medal, Paper Rex are the most accomplished Pacific team and considering they’ve not made any roster changes, another strong run in Stage 1 is expected.

However, while Paper Rex should be the top dogs, they also do not need to win Stage 2 to qualify for the VALORANT Championship, which is something to consider.

Unlike Paper Rex, who likely do not care what happens in Stage 2, T1 do. They’ve had a slow season for their standards, with a runner-up finish in VCT Kickoff and a fourth-place finish in Stage 1.

With that, T1 missed out on Masters London and considering they have 10 points, T1 still need to catch up to Nongshim RedForce to qualify for the season-ending event.

Nongshim RedForce join the short list of serious title contenders, having already shown their might with titles from the Pacific Kickoff event and the Masters Santiago. They were not as successful in Stage 1 (seventh-eighth), but bounced back with a third-place finish in the Esports World Cup 2026.

Seemingly finding their stride, Nongshim RedForce are heading into Stage 2 as a team to keep an eye on, with a roster full of talent capable of challenging Paper Rex, T1, or anyone else.

FULL SENSE deserve a mention too. Despite not being viewed as potent as T1, PR, or NS, FULL SENSE had a great showing in Stage 1, where they placed second.

While their performance in the Masters London (11th-12th) has left a lot to be desired, FULL SENSE have been a force to be reckoned with domestically, and that is unlikely to change.

Verdict

Qualitatively, there is a clear gap between the top contenders in Paper Rex, T1, and Nongshim RedForce, and the rest of the league. And while crazier things have happened before, it is safe to assume one of the three will come out on top.

Of the three Paper Rex are the most in-form and most proven squad. However, they have nothing left to fight for, as even if they finish Stage 2 in last place, PR will attend VALORANT Champions. The lack of urgency is something to consider, and it could play a factor in Paper Rex’s final placement.

Since Paper Rex do not appear as a smart pick as favourites, T1 are the next best thing. This is an incredibly stacked roster, and while they’ve had some role issues in Stage 1, T1 have also had plenty of time to iron out those wrinkles.

If everything falls into place, T1 can emerge as Pacific’s best team, and considering PR are likely out of the race for the title, it makes it even harder to doubt T1 and their chances to make a run for the trophy.
