Team Spirit vs Team Yandex Betting Predictions
Team Spirit and Team Yandex will face off on Saturday, October 3, in the seeding match of BLAST SLAM VIII, when they’ll battle it out for a favourable seed in the playoffs.
Spirit and Yandex are widely considered two of the scene’s best teams, as the world’s most in-form team, Yandex, takes on the reigning The International champions.
Both squads cruised through the group stage and have shown no signs of struggle. So form-wise, they appear equal, and the same can be said about their quality. And with little to separate them in all areas, this is looking a lot more like a very close and competitive game rather than anything else.
- Two of the world’s best teams go head-to-head
- Team Yandex have Spirit’s number this year
- Qualitatively, there is little to separate the two squads
Team Yandex Lead the Head-to-Head
Team Yandex and Team Spirit have met eight times this season, and all but two clashes ended in Team Yandex victory.

Team Spirit Are in Great Shape
Team Spirit have so far delivered to expectations at BLAST SLAM VIII, having made it through the group stage with two victories, beating Team Nemesis and 1w Team without any major issues.
Having faced two lower-rated teams, Team Spirit were not expected to show anything less than that, as they are the reigning The International champions.
TI 2026 was also Spirit’s last tournament before BLAST SLAM VIII, meaning they’ve had over a month-long break ahead of this event. Even so, the rust did not seem to phase them much, as Spirit have been looking as good as they did in August.
Their real test, however, begins on Saturday, when Team Spirit take on another heavyweight in Team Yandex.

Team Yandex Are Hard to Stop
Team Yandex are the most in-form team in the world. While they’ve not won The International, Yandex have placed top-three in the last four big events.
That includes a gold medal from BLAST SLAM VII, bronze medals from the Esports World Cup and The International, and another gold from PGL Wallachia Season 9.
At BLAST SLAM VIII, Team Yandey have not shown any signs of slowing down, as they’ve crushed both MOUZ and BetBoom Team in Group C. That said, neither MOUZ nor BB Team should be considered a serious threat to Yandex, so it is fair to say that they’ve yet to face a really strong team.
