Sentinels With a Stand-In
Sentinels had a rough showing in Stage 1, which they finished in ninth-10th place, after going 2-3 in Group Omega. They showed no improvement from the Kickoff event, and with no roster changes ahead of Stage 2, it is hard to imagine them improving by much.
The major concern with Sentinels is the fact that they will not have Amine "johnqt" Ouarid available for this match, meaning they do not have an in-game leader. This will not do them any favours, as even with johnqt, Sentinels failed to perform and have been largely disappointing in their VCT Americas campaign.

Cloud9 Debut a New Roster
Cloud9, like Sentinels, failed to impress in VCT Americas Stage 1, which they finished in last place, with a 1-14 record. Even in VCT Kickoff, Cloud9 did not reach for the stars, ending the tournament in sixth place, and their more recent run at the Esports World Cup qualifiers also ended poorly, with two defeats against ENVY and Sentinels.
In a bid to find more success, Cloud9 have made some roster changes before Stage 2, adding Jackk, FireBallOps, and v1c. Signing three new players could be exactly what C9 need to start fresh; however, it will also introduce a period of instability while the squad adjusts to three new faces.
