M80 With More to Prove
M80 enter BLAST Bounty Summer after successfully fighting through the North American BLAST Open Fall qualifiers, where they’ve not faced much resistance. It was a nice bounce-back from their early (20th-22nd) elimination form Intel Extreme Masters Cologne, and another solid showing after M80’s title run at ESL Challenger League S51: NA.
M80 have featured in a few international tournaments this season, but never made it very far. Most of their accomplishments have been limited to lesser online regional tournaments, but when faced with stronger, European teams, M80 have often fallen apart.
With those results, it is hard to be overly optimistic about M80 and their chances of making a deep run in BLAST Bounty Summer. On the other hand, this is a capable lineup and not complete pushovers.

Ninjas in Pyjamas Have Some Momentum
Ninjas in Pyjamas have recently placed third in Stake Ranked Episode, failing to defend their title from May.
Regardless, it was not a terrible showing from Snappi and his crew, though the defeats against K27 and HEROIC raise questions about how consistently NiP can deliver when faced with equal or slightly weaker opponents.
Consistency hasn’t been NiP’s strong suit this season, nor have they won any notable tournaments. Besides Stake Ranked Episode 2, their only other titles came from the Roman Imperium Cup in March and the RES Showdown Spring in February.
