HAJIN BRION Are Looking Solid
HAJIN BRION started the tournament with a very convincing victory against JD Gaming. They entered the game with their usual approach, opting for a slower and more controlled style, and it worked out perfectly against JDG, who, admittedly, are not at 100% due to the roster changes.
This same approach didn't work as well against Team WE, who are the opposite of a slow team and prefer a faster style of play, which really tested BRION’s early game. Interestingly, BRION got ahead early on map one, but bungled it. They struck back on the second, and ended up short on the decider.
Not the optimal start for BRION, but they were stylistically outmatched against Team WE. The same is unlikely to happen against Natus Vincere.

Natus Vincere Have More to Prove
Natus Vincere started the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational poorly, as they got upset by RED Canids. It was more Natus Vincere making the wrong choices and not focusing on their win condition, so ultimately, it is fair to say that NaVi beat themselves rather than RED Canids winning.
Regardless, they bounced back with a 2-0 sweep of the struggling FlyQuest on Monday, proving themselves as the better team. Admittedly, Natus Vincere looked like the better, more stable team of the two, and they’ve had a lot more time to prepare for the tournament than FlyQuest.
It was a nice win for the European side, but beating FlyQuest proves very little and doesn't suggest NaVi are ready to take on a much bigger beast in BRION.
