G2 Esports vs Team Vitality Betting Predictions
G2 Esports and Team Vitality will face off on Saturday, October 10, in the upper bracket semifinals of VALORANT Champions 2026 playoffs.
G2 Esports picked up a big scalp in the first round of VALORANT Champions 2026, where they defeated the pre-tournament favourites, 100 Thieves. However, they still have a long way to go to the top, as G2 now get ready to take on Team Vitality, who’ve looked just as solid in this event.
While both teams have shown good things, G2 Esports have looked more stable in their games, having yet to produce a questionable performance. The same can’t be said for Vitality, who should’ve lost their last match against RedForce.
This is a clash between two elite rosters, but based on the more recent performances, G2 look better.
- Team Vitality have had some close calls
- G2 Esports have yet to show cracks in their armour

G2 Esports Are in Top Shape
G2 Esports had a promising run through the group stage, defeating TYLOO (2-0) and Team Liquid (2-0) before losing a close match to Paper Rex (1-2). In the playoffs, however, G2 really stepped up and swept the pre-tournament favourites, 100 Thieves, with 13-5 on Abyss and 13-11 on Ascent.
It was one of G2’s best performances of the season and a true indication that they can reach far in China. However, their work is far from done, as G2 now have to face the high-flying Team Vitality,
G2 have no history against Team Vitality this season.
However, more importantly, G2 have shown quite a resurgence this tournament, producing significantly better performances than they did in Stage 2 or earlier in the season.
Trent, in particular, has been great, posting a 1.20 performance rating, the third-highest of the tournament. Yet the team as a whole have been showing great things, as G2 have yet to produce a bad game.

Team Vitality Are Off a Close Game
Team Vitality stormed through the group stage with wins against Global Esports and LOUD. They then took care of business in the upper bracket quarterfinals, where Vitality defeated Nongshim RedForce, albeit by the skin of their teeth.
Vitality took the series lead with 13-8 on Split, got smoked on Abyss with 4-13, and edged past Nongshim RedForce on Haven with 14-12 in overtime.
Realistically, RedForce should’ve won Haven as they were 7-4 up at one point, but a slow start to the second half and a few misplays eventually cost them the win.
Vitality played well on the day, but had Nongshim RedForce been more efficient, Vitality wouldn’t have won.
