100 Thieves vs T1 Betting Predictions
100 Thieves and T1 will face off on Sunday, September 27, in the opening round of Group A at VALORANT Champions 2026, marking their first clash of the year.
100 Thieves enter the match as heavy favourites, which makes a lot of sense. They’re the most in-form team in the world, having won the Esports World Cup and VCT Americas Stage 2, with the former serving as a good form guide for what can happen in China.
T1 have done enough to qualify for the tournament, but haven’t produced anything to suggest they are among the top contenders to lift the trophy. While T1 have a high ceiling, they need to prove themselves against elite teams before we can have faith in them.

100 Thieves Are On a Roll
100 Thieves are viewed as the main favourites to win VALORANT Champions 2026, after securing two gold medals from the Esports World Cup and VCT Americas Stage 2. With those results, 100T head to China as one of the most in-form teams in the field and seem to be doing well in the current meta.
While it is up for debate whether 100 Thieves are truly the best team in the world, they are arguably one of the top three with no evident weaknesses.
Their performances over the last two months inspire enough confidence to believe that 100 Thieves can compete for a podium finish here.

T1 Have to Show More
T1 have produced a mixed bag of results this season. They placed second in Pacific Kickoff, ninth-10th in Masters Santiago, fourth in Pacific Stage 1, and third in Stage 2. T1 have missed two of the three international events this year, so it is hard to say how they’ll fare against international opponents.
However, T1 have shown good things in Stage 2, giving hope they can make some noise in China.
On the other hand, T1 have also been showing some cracks in VCT Pacific. They made it through the group stage with a 3-2 record and came close to getting eliminated from the playoffs a couple of times.
Admittedly, VCT Pacific is a competitive league, but T1 were not at the level of Global Esports or Nongshim RedForce, so it is fair to be cautiously optimistic about them and their chances of making a deep run in VALORANT Champions.
