Sophie Molineux was the only Aussie bowler to pick up a wicket as India posted 170/4 in their final group match at Lord’s, with one unfortunate run out and a batter retiring taking care of the other two wickets. Molineux took 2/46 on the back of picking up two wickets in three of her previous four matches.
Beth Mooney (22) and Phoebe Litchfield (24) added 50 for the second wicket before a 100-run stand between Ellyse Perry (56 off 38) and Ashleigh Gardner (53 off 29) took the Aussies to the brink of victory.
West Indies Women done well to make Semi's
The West Indies got off to a powerful start to their World Cup campaign by beating defending champions New Zealand in their opener, followed by wins over Scotland and Sri Lanka. They ended their group stage commitments with back-to-back defeats to England and Ireland, scoring under 150 in both matches.
