The 2026 T20 Cricket World Cup gets underway on 7 February 2026 with hosts and favourites, India facing the USA in one of three games on the opening day.
The group stage consists out of four groups, each with five teams. The tournament has already been marred by drama with Bangladesh pulling out, refusing to play in India. Scotland have replaced them as a participating side.
Alongside India, Sri Lanka are co-hosts to the tournament. The group stage will conclude on 20 February 2026 before heading into a Super Eight stage - the top two teams from each group progress.
While minnows always form part of the tournament, a keen eye will be on Italy who will feature in their first-ever major tournament. The USA will also get close attention.
