A Stake player hit the same 20,000x Limbo target twice within seven minutes, turning two TRON bets into a combined $339,302.26.
Once Was Apparently Not Enough
An anonymous Stake player managed to hit a 20,000x Limbo target twice within seven minutes, which feels almost unnecessarily lucky.
The first attempt came from a $4.99 TRON bet with the target set at 20,000x.
The game generated 23,426.57x, comfortably clearing the target and producing a $99,865.82 payout.
Most players would probably be quite happy to leave it there.
This player did not.
Seven minutes later, they were back with a larger $11.97 TRON bet and the same 20,000x target. This time, Limbo generated 50,484.63x.
That was another successful hit, returning $239,436.44.
Put the two together, and the player collected $339,302.26 from just $16.96 in winning bets.

The Second One Was Even Wilder
The first result was already difficult to top.
A $4.99 bet at a 20,000x target turned into almost $100,000 after Limbo generated 23,426.57x.
Then the second round went much further.
The $11.97 bet produced a raw multiplier of 50,484.63x, more than two and a half times the 20,000x target the player had chosen.
That distinction matters in Limbo because the player is paid according to the target they set, not the full RNG result.
So even though the game displayed 50,484.63x, the payout was still calculated at 20,000x.
That is how the second bet returned $239,436.44 rather than something much larger.
They Left a Lot on the Table, Technically
Limbo always creates a slightly painful “what if?” when the generated multiplier lands well above the target.
In these two rounds, the RNG results were 23,426.57x and 50,484.63x.
Had the player somehow selected those exact targets before each round, the theoretical payouts would have been much higher. Across both bets, the combined return would have been around $721,199.60.
Of course, that is hindsight.
There is no way to know what multiplier Limbo will generate before the round begins, and choosing a higher target makes a winning result less likely.
So the $721K figure is fun to calculate, but it is not money the player realistically “missed”. The two 20,000x hits were already extraordinary.
Limbo Is About Picking Your Number
Stake Limbo is one of the simpler Originals games.
You choose a bet amount and set a target multiplier. The game then generates a random multiplier for the round.
If the generated number lands at or above your target, you win and receive the payout based on the multiplier you selected.
If it lands below your target, you lose the bet.
For example, the player’s second round had a target of 20,000x. Limbo generated 50,484.63x, so the target was cleared and the $11.97 bet paid at 20,000x.
That produced the $239,436.44 payout.
Higher Targets Get Much Harder to Hit
The appeal of Limbo is easy to understand.
Set a low multiplier and wins can appear more frequently, but the returns are smaller. Push the target higher and the possible payout grows quickly, while the chances of landing it fall sharply.
A 20,000x target sits deep into the extreme end of that trade-off.
That is why hitting it once is notable.
Hitting it twice within seven minutes is what turns this into a story.
Each Limbo round is independent and determined by Stake’s provably fair random-number system, so the first 20,000x hit did not make a second one any more likely.
The player simply went back in and got another one.
