Match Preview
This will be the first head-to-head meeting between these two sides. PAOK have struggled in their last two away games against underdog opponents, but they are still tagged as favorites to take the points in Lithuania.
Lietkabelis Do Their Best Work at Home
Lietkabelis started the new EuroCup season by facing KK Bosna Sarajevo at home earlier this month and nearly squandered a big lead in the final quarter, eventually winning 75-72. Ivan Fevrier was named man of the match with 17 points and nine rebounds.
The Lithuanian side came close to pulling off a major upset last week in Italy, battling BC Roma until the very end before losing 92-87, mainly due to poor free-throw execution (11/20).
In domestic competition, Lietkabelis have secured just two wins in five LKL rounds and currently sit in 7th place. Last weekend, they lost 71-65 to Jonava in front of their home crowd.
PAOK Have High Win Rate This Season
PAOK have made a strong start to the new basketball season, claiming four victories in their five appearances across competitions.
The Double-Headed Eagles started their EuroCup campaign with back-to-back victories, outclassing Manresa 93-78 at home in late September before edging out KK Bosna 75-72 in Sarajevo last week.
Andrea Trinchieri rested some of his star players last weekend in the Greek Basket League, but PAOK still had no problems beating Lefkadas 86-73. Naz Mitrou-Long was named man of the match with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists.
