Match Preview
This is going to be the first time KK Bosna play a EuroCup match in front of the home crowd, and they are facing the number one favorite to lift the trophy, PAOK. Is there room for an upset in Sarajevo?
KK Bosna's Home Premiere This Season
KK Bosna looked solid in their EuroCup opening clash last week in Lithuania, putting up a good fight against favored Lietkabelis but ultimately having to settle for a narrow 75-72 defeat.
Ryan Hawkins had a good performance here, scoring 12 points with solid 5/9 FG shooting, while also registering five rebounds. Reginald Perry was the top scorer with 19 points but struggled with his percentages.
The Bosnian side returned to winning ways in the ABA League opening round, delivering an outstanding performance against favored Spartak in Subotica and taking a 95-79 victory. Darko Talic was named man of the match, missing just one out of nine shots and scoring 18 points.
PAOK Bringing Strong Form Into Sarajevo
PAOK started the new season with a big upset against Panathinaikos in the Greek Super Cup semifinals, beating the Athens side 84-82 thanks to game-winning shots made by Cedi Osman, who scored 18 points and had six assists.
The Double-Headed Eagles couldn't take another scalp, though, losing 101-96 to Olympiakos in the final. Their shooting was at 52% here (14 out of 17 on two-pointers), with Marcus Forest being the top scorer with 18 points.
They started the EuroCup campaign with a 93-78 home victory against Manresa last week, where Osman had another strong performance (23 points), while the Basket League opening match against Mykonos was much tougher, grinding out an 88-85 win last weekend.
