Match Preview
Aris are having a lot of problems in the new basketball campaign already, so I don't expect them to have a walk in the park against San Pablo Burgos, who have won two of their three games this season.
Aris Showing Offensive Weaknesses
Aris had a lot of problems in the first half against Le Mans last week in their EuroCup opener, trailing by 11 points very early on but stabilizing as the game went by, taking an 87-74 victory in France.
There is a lot of room for improvement, especially on offense, as they landed just 7 of 29 three-point attempts here. Jeremiah Robinson was named man of the match, scoring 13 points with 12 rebounds, while EJ Liddell was the top scorer with 19 points.
Aris' offensive problems continued in the Greek Basket League round one clash against AS Karditsas last weekend, where they were tagged as massive favorites yet suffered a 74-68 defeat, shooting just 37% from the field.
San Pablo Burgos in Good Form
San Pablo Burgos needed some time and patience to crack Cedevita Olimpija in their EuroCup opening clash last week but ultimately edged out the Slovenian side 85-81 in front of the home crowd.
Their shooting was great in this clash, 54% on two-pointers and 48% beyond the arc, while they had a high number of turnovers (15). DJ Steward landed clutch three-pointers, finishing as the top scorer with 22 points.
Speaking of their domestic affairs, San Pablo Burgos started the new ACB Liga campaign with a heartbreaking 98-97 home defeat against Baskonia, but returned to winning ways last weekend, beating Lleida 94-81 on the road.
